I've been hauling groceries and kids up steep hills in Seattle with a Rans Hammer Truck cargo bike with a BionX motor.

Technically, the Hammer Truck is not an XtraCycle (sadly, not interchangeable with the XtraCycle open standard), but functionally it is similar. The biggest difference is the bike is a "crank-forward design", which I personally find more comfortable (less weight on the hands, less step down, and more crank force on the pedals without standing on them).
